The Stockings were hung & 100% Recycled!
I have tons of scraps left over from making my coffee bean bag totes & pillows. I have not been able to throw them out because I knew there would be something cute I could make from them, today I made Christmas stockings! I picked up some sweaters at savers to use as accents, and they turned out so cute! I am going to make them for my whole family, no more "typical" stocking for us! maybe santa will be extra good to me for being so green this year!
e The back side has a little coffee bean bag character...
Stay tuned for more, these were my first 3 and I had to put them up right away! Now, how am I going to be able to refrain from cutting up my own sweaters....

Old Fashion Christmas Blocks
So yesterday I started playing around with some scrap wood we had outside. I cut a bunch o different sized blocks and brought them in the house with no real plan in mind. Then I remembered this old fashion Christmas paper that I had and started cutting it to fit on the blocks, still no real plan in mind. Once the modge podge dried, I used my palm sander to sand the edges, added a little stain, embellished and now I have the cutest set of Christmas blocks on the planet! I feel like these are something i just have to share with the world, so soon they will be available on my Etsy store!

Amazing!
Mike brought home this electric fireplace inset that he got for free. So last night he finally decided to build the mantel for it.
I always knew that my husband was a very gifted carpenter, but I am completely in awe of this fireplace surround that he built last night. Yeah that's right I said last night, he has this done in about 4 hours! He drew his own sketch, went to Home Depot to get his supplies, & started building it around 9pm, I remember him coming to bed shortly after 1am, and he said it was done!

I didn't see it until this morning, and I just can't stop looking at it! I still need to paint and glaze it, but i just had to post it, I am so proud of his work!
