Get organized for 2015!

There is something to the new year and an overwhelming feeling to clean, purge and re-organize! This year has been no exception for me! After the holidays, my craft room needs a serious deep cleaning! I try to stay organized as I go, but when things get crazy, that is the first thing to go for me!
I love my craft room, it is my happy place. When I walk in usually I feel inspired! I don't know if this year was different because I had been there so much or if my neutral room was just too neutral.
I have an amazing space but It was lacking some color!
I had been thinking about new curtains, and then last week I found this:

Have you picked up this amazing new magazine yet? After I read it cover to cover I was so inspired! So first I cleaned and organized a ton!
And then I shopped like it was my job!!
I found the most amazing pieces!
Target dollar spot, amazing finds!

Just a smudge of what I found at Hobby Lobby, now that store is dangerous!

And a sneak peak as to where I am going! I can tell you now that I walk into this room and immediately feel inspired and happy! Color adds so much to a space. More to come this week, just a few final touches left and I can do a complete room reveal!

New for 2015

I have been wanting to update EVERYTHING for some time now! The blog, etsy, pinterest, etc. Well I decided today was the day. This was not my first choice, however since I am on day 3 of being sick I decided I had to do something while laying on the couch. I have no ambition for anything else! Coffee doesn't even taste good, thats always a sign that something is not right!
We are also literally right in the middle of my sons new bed room re-model and I am hoping that tomorrow is the day that gets done! My house is in shambles!

So back to the re design! I knew I wanted fresh, clean and simple. I looked into having a blog designer do it but I really didn't want to spend that kind of money, bedroom re model took a big chunk!
So I put my google search engine to work and taught myself how to do everything I needed!

My Header was created in PSE using some digital papers. I cleaned things up & removed what was no longer relevant then added the things I knew I needed to have (long ago)! Who knew it was that easy to add a hovering PIN IT button! Google it! Step by step instructions!

The one blog I have to give  huge shout out to is Greatfun4kids she has not only a tutorial on installing social media icons, she also has a variety of free icons you can use and seriously the easiest install instructions out there!

Soon I hope to feel better and start working on my new home line for 2015 and some great new valentine projects!! I can't wait to share them with you! For now I leave you with some images that are inspiring me here on my couch!

I am not sure if pinterest is good or bad for when you are sick. Good because I get great new ideas. Bad because I am too miserable to do any of it! Here's to a better tomorrow!

Another un-planned remodel

Clearly this is just how I roll. I buy something and it inspires a complete room makeover!
The culprit:
This adorable blue box. How cute for my island in my red kitchen. Right? Right!
The longer that box sat on the island, the more I was over the red. Sounds like a long time, it was about 27 hours.
So off to Home Depot I went! And the hubby came home to this:
In the time I decided I was over the red, I also decided I was over the table and chairs. And I have always hated the faux wood trim and door. So we painted the trim, bought a new door, and a new dining set!
All because of a $12 wooden box! I am so glad I bought that box!

And then I made this clock. That's a entirely different post! More to come on that!
